Chelating Agents

Chelating agents, including Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid (EDTA), Disodium EDTA (EDTA-2Na), and Tetrasodium EDTA (EDTA-4Na), are used to bind metal ions in solutions. They are widely applied in detergents to prevent scale formation, in food to preserve color and texture, and in pharmaceuticals to stabilize formulations. Their ability to sequester metal ions improves product performance and shelf life, making them indispensable in industries requiring precise control over metal ion interactions.
